Ken Reid will support Parents Rights, education quality and fight anti-Asian discrimination…Vote for him Nov. 7
Dear Friends:
Over the last three years, the Fairfax County School Board has implemented a number of policies in the name of “equity” which led to discrimination against high-achieving students, many of them from Hindu and other Asian backgrounds – including delaying Merit Scholarship notification to students which deprived them of using it on college early-admission applications. This is all being done due to political pressure from outside groups.
So, I co-founded the Coalition for TJ, (Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology), a grassroots organization, to preserve high standards for admissions, admissions based on merit, not skin color, and the right of parents to know what is going on in their schools. Gov. Youngkin appointed me to the State Board of education as a result. But partly because I raised a question at a board meeting about the importance of teaching the Constitution, radical activists got a few mosques and others to pressure Democrats in the State Senate to remove me – which is unprecedented for a Virginia appointee to a non-salaried position.
I continue to fight on for quality education and one way I am doing this is by supporting candidates for office in this November election who will champion our talented children and combat anti-Asian Discrimination.
Ken Reid, who is running to be our state Senator, is one such candidate. I have met and spoken with Ken a number of times and he will support our issues in Richmond. Here is why: • Ken served 10 years in local office in Loudoun, and was the key vote to bring Metro to Dulles Airport and supported public education – including creation of the Loudoun Academies• Publishing business owner for 30 years, focused on the FDA and health news• Attends CHABAD Orthodox Synagogue; resides in Tysons• Father of adult twins who graduated Flint Hill School
Do NOT vote for the Democrat, Saddam Salim, in this election. He is a radical “progressive” who opposes merit-based educational standards to achieve “equity,” which discriminates against high-achieving Indian students. Also do NOT vote for Democrat-endorsed school board candidates this year. Please vote Nov. 7 for Ken Reid for State Senate, www.KenReid.org/voting
Thank you!

KEN'S OTHER POSITIONS:
* Supports Parents Rights, teaching students how to think, not “what to think,” and merit-based education standards so high-achieving Asian students are not discriminated against. Ken also raised twins in the public schools.
* Support the police and help crime victims; get tough on criminals. * Reduce tolls on I-66 and Beltway; have state pay for Metro; replace car tax, which is burdensome. * Started his own publishing business and had to hire and train employees, pay taxes and deal with health care costs.
* Served 10 years in elected office in Loudoun and now sits on the Fairfax County Landlord-Tenant Commission. ABOUT SADDAM SALIM, THE DEMOCRAT Says nothing on his web site about Parents Rights or merit-based education, nor anything regarding Anti-Asian discrimination.
Has no children. Wants an “equitable criminal justice system” but says nothing about victims of crime and supporting our police.
No mention of new road capacity, reducing tolls or taxes. Says he will “fight for funding for public transportation and pedestrian/bike safety…” But only 2% of trips are by transit; rest by cars and trucks.
Has never owned his own business, lives in his parents’ home. Never elected to public office and has no record of serving the community.
